Amidst the frivolities of life, there comes a time in everyone’s life when they stop and wonder why they’re living their life the way they are! They start to realise that life is more than what they’re doing with it. This, my friends, it the awakening of the soul! And once the soul has taken the pilot seat, you’re headed towards success! It is this very soul that stood in front of Almighty Allah and took an oath!

And (remember) when thy Lord brought forth from the Children of Adam, from their reins, their seed, and made them testify of themselves, (saying): Am I not your Lord? They said: Yea, verily. We testify…” (see Holy Qur’an 7:172)

While researching this verse I came across an arabic term called “Fitrah” which means natural belief. This is a part of every human being! However, it is clouded by other beliefs, once children starts learning the religion taught to them by their parents. Unless what they are teaching coincides with the same natural belief. No one will have the excuse at the Day of Judgement that we were taught so and so by our parents and that’s all we knew, how were we suppose to know what was right? If someone is being taught wrong beliefs or has no beliefs at all, the soul will try to shake some sense into him or her, somewhere down the line.

Since I was a child, all I saw around me was, study…get a job (to earn a living, to buy a car, to support a family, etc.)…get married…raise children…die! Everyone’s in a race to God knows where! There is no cause, where is it? Those who fight for a cause attain victory. Whats the point in attaining victory when you don’t know why you’re getting it! And without a cause one is pathless. Everyone is moving in random directions like zombies!

Wake up, smell the fresh air, take  a few minutes to ask yourself one question. Why was I created? And ponder over it. You will start to feel your soul waking up! Let it, let it take control of your life! It knows the goal! It knows the destination! So let it lead you to Allah, let it lead you to success!
